1. Eligibility
Participants must register and pay the required entry fee to participate. Any submission made prior to confirmed payment will not be counted.
2. Participant ID
Each participant is assigned a unique four-digit (4-digit) Participant ID. This ID must be physically visible in every photo submission. Acceptable methods include, but are not limited to:
• Written on a piece of paper
• Written on a sign, notebook, or card
• Displayed on clothing, helmet, or motorcycle
• You are allowed to use creativity
The Participant ID may not be added digitally to the image after the photo is taken. Any submission with a digitally added ID will be rejected. The ID must be clearly legible and unobstructed in the photo.
3. Submissions
Each challenge may be completed once per participant. A single photo may include multiple Participant IDs; however, each participant must submit their own individual entry for the challenge to be counted toward their score.
4. Proof Requirements
All challenges require a photo submission with the participant’s 4-digit ID clearly displayed. The ID must appear in the original photograph and may not be digitally inserted, edited, or overlaid afterward. Photos that obscure, blur, or hide the ID may be rejected at the judge’s discretion.
5. Photo Consent
By participating, entrants grant the organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use submitted photos for event promotion, advertising, and documentation without compensation.
6. Judging
All submissions are reviewed by judges and marked as Approved or Rejected. Judge decisions are final and binding. Judges may request clarification or additional proof if necessary. They will contact the participant by either phone, text, or email.
7. Scoring
• Easy challenges: 5 points
• Medium challenges: 10 points
• Hard challenges: 20 points
• Secret location challenges: 100 points each
Points are provisional until the conclusion of the Scavenger Hunt.
8. Secret Locations
Hints for secret locations will be posted periodically during the Scavenger Hunt. A total of three (3) hints will be released, with the final locations revealed approximately two (2) weeks before the final submission deadline.
9. Leaderboards
A leaderboard will be published weekly; however, all posted scores are unofficial and provisional. Official scores and final rankings will be announced only after the Scavenger Hunt has closed and all submissions have been reviewed.
10. Tie-Breaker
In the event of a tie in total points, placement will be determined by the greatest number of miles ridden during the Scavenger Hunt.
Participants must submit:
• A photo of their starting mileage with their Participant ID at the beginning of the hunt using the Beginning Mileage Challenge submission
• A photo of their ending mileage with their Participant ID at the conclusion of the hunt using the Ending Mileage Challenge submission.
Failure to submit valid mileage documentation will forfeit eligibility for tie-break consideration.
11. Duplicate Submissions
Duplicate submissions for the same challenge will receive zero (0) points. Participants may update or resubmit a challenge prior to final judge approval, but only one approved submission per challenge will be counted. This allowance is primarily intended for missed or incorrect secret location submissions.
12. Safety
All participants must always obey all traffic laws. Unsafe, reckless, or illegal riding behavior will result in disqualification. This event is not a race. Organizers reserve the right to invalidate any or all submissions associated with unsafe conduct.
13. Access & Property
Participants may not trespass. All photos must be taken from publicly accessible locations. No special access has been arranged with any private or restricted locations unless explicitly announced by the organizers. Participants are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and posted restrictions.
14. Duration
The Scavenger Hunt runs only for the officially announced event period. Challenges will not be released prior to opening day. Submissions received after the closing date and time will not be counted. No extensions will be granted.
15. Conduct
Participants must adhere to the event’s code of conduct. Cheating, deception, harassment, or attempts to gain an unfair advantage will result in disqualification.
16. Disqualification & Refunds
The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant for rule violations. Disqualified participants will not receive a refund and may be barred from participating in future events hosted by the organizers.
17. Organizer Authority
The organizers reserve the right to interpret, clarify, and enforce these rules. All interpretations and enforcement decisions made by the organizers are final.
